Mini Me

Yesterday Emma skipped school because she had slight flu and cough. She spent the entire day at my mum's. At night, she said she wants to stay over. It kinda surprised us because before she has never self request to stay over. Before we can say goodbye to her, she said goodbye and walked away!!! 

It felt like we have a mini grown up already.

Perth Day 3

Day 3 was slightly different, its something we've never done for our Perth trip. We are going strawberry picking! Thats Emma, who's always a early riser and we're waiting for our friends to get ready!

 I guess the popular ones are easily filled, so here we are at Dome.

 Emma was picking and eating along the way, which on a hind side we shouldn't have done it. The berries were super dirty filled with dust. But try telling that to a kid.

 We didn't pick a lot, cause we didn't know what to do with it. It definitely can't last the flight home.

 If I am a farmer, I want to be a pretty one.

OK, berries picking ain't for us, we're never doing it again. 

Shopping's more for us. This round, I guess because of the exchange rate, and somehow there were a lot of sale going on. We really did buy a lot of things...

We went to the boat house, but this round it was under renovation. I think one of the planks got loose.

 

 We went back with our friends to school, and this round we had someone to take a proper family shoot for us! Maybe this will go up to the frames!

 

Dinner ended with our must eat - Viet Nosh. And we ordered the must order! 

*Phew, dinner marks the end of the day!

Perth Day 2

Actually this should be Perth Day 1. But anyways.

Morning are slightly chaotic with two kids around.  Hubs bought this greenish snakish thing for her, it turns out to be an eraser which she totally had no use for. But they had a lot of fun from this, they lose it eventually. RIP. which is good, I didn't like it, it would have been in the bin.

My friend was a super hardworking mum, printed out work sheets relating to the trip. (We are lazy parents, holidays are real holidays. For the parents. Zilch work sheets.)

And we are back at the wildlife park again! This time round we have someone to help us take a family picture!

 We touched koalas again.

 And feed the kangaroos again.

Took picture with the wombat again.

 Touched some snakes, owls, and other scaly creatures that I can't name.

And did the exact same stuff as last yr. So lets move on to more exciting stuff!

We went Carousel for some shopping and ate at the exact same place where we came last yr.

We went back to our school! This never gets old!

 We had to walk the school route. Always the weird nostalgic feeling.

On the way out of the school carpark, we almost killed the school's peacock while it was suddenly crossing the road.

Then we went home and had a bbq session! 

Perth Day 1

I don't know why, but I suddenly realised there's two photobooks that I've actually didn't print it out! Emma 2014 which records her happenings for the year, and Perth & Krabi 2014! I was probably trying to wait out for another book to deliver together, and together end up forgetting all about it! Eeks! Anyway, its on its way now! And another blessing in disguise, there's a 40% discount code!

Its been a busy period. We're back from our Perth trip! Weeps!

Actually we love travelling with Emma, she's such a fun and great traveller (obviously at this point when I say this I'm totally forgetting the times when she meltdown). We usually go to the airport super early, about 4-5 hours earlier for Changi Airport. There's just so much to do!! And honestly, our holiday starts right at the airport, so we loveeee heading to the airport early.

 This is our second stop actually. Our first stop is to let Emma pick a holiday present! She don't usually get to choose something in store and buy it there and then. Only on holidays! Next we go to the lounge and have our meal. I do feel sorry for people in the lounge who thinks they are there to get some peace and quiet. Oh wells, I'm not the only one with kids. Emma's usually doesn't go screaming and shouting about, but she's super talkative. So it can be noisy for people sitting around us.

This trip, she picked a Toy Story book. Which she recently was watching on the tv, hence the obsession.

We took a midnight flight, which was good. because after the plane took off, she just zonked out.

For the entire ride! Woopies! 

She woke up when it landed at about 6 odd in the morning, and reading her Toy Story book.

She's been in a good mood. She does understand how holiday works now.

But of cause maybe a few minutes in the car, she fell right asleep.

She actually slept most of the morning away, which was super good for us. Cause I can shop in peace! The malls open at 8am, so by the time we finish our car collection and custom and reach a mall, its about 8am. We were just in time for breakfast (a peaceful one, because Emma was sleeping~). Then I managed to do some shopping, early shopping always perks me up!

We went to check in about noon. This trip, again we went for vacation rental. It works much better for us, because we really needed the space and the kitchen. Not so much for real cooking though. This one really tops on our travel list, it was really clean! (though when we checked out, the owner didn't gave us a good review. She said we could have left the kitchen in a tidier manner. But I wasn't expecting this, we did pay cleaning fees of 10% of total stay, I don't see why she can comment on that. We didn't even really mess it up, we washed up all utensils we used, just probably didn't put it back to the right place).

This house has 3 bedrooms, and 1 playroom. Which was super good! And smack in the middle of a very good location.

Noon was spent shopping again! Actually with the exchange rate now, I really enjoyed shopping! We then went for some cake at the cafe near our school. 

Thereafter our friends arrived and we met them!

*Phew* Took such a long time to put this post together!
