Grateful

We had quite a few long car rides, and for this, we're most grateful that Emma was a very very well behaved in all the trips.

She's playing peekaboo with herself.
Playing with the stickers I got her.
Playing with herself underneath the cover.
Eating the tub of popcorn, that tub lasted her for 4 days.
Playing pretend play with Scully.
Playing pretend play other toys.
Entertaining mummy (and eating her popcorn concurrently)
Looking through attraction brouchers. We just finish Stonehenge, so she was happily pointing out the monster stones which she just saw.
Pretend play with her gummy sweets before eating each of them by body parts.
Reading books
Entertaining mummy.
And the cycle continues.

We are giving credit to ourselves that she hasn't start on the iPad/iPhone phase, as we are making a very conscious effort to put that away from her. We are hoping that phase will come as late as possible. For now, we will just enjoy each other company!

Last day!

Packing ourselves out of the house.
Some of us choose to enjoy our last bit of time.
Hopped off to a different breakfast venue this morning, cause we're out of the house quite late, like maybe 10am. So more cafes are actually open for business.

We have 1 last mission before leaving for airport. London Tower.
It was brewing a thunderstorm.

And without fail, every trip, we need to get a parking offence ticket. On this last day when we drove into the city, it was kinda confusing. So we drove into their so call ERP thingy, and we forgot to return home to pay online. (We got a parking ticket when in France, and Perth as well).

We drove ourselves to the Heathrow Airport. We bid our trusty car goodbye.
Us entertaining ourselves while waiting at the airport.
It was a nightmare during check in. We arrived maybe 4 hrs early, and spent 3hrs trying to check in? By the time we were done, we were very very frustrated and irritated and no time to shop! They really shouldn't let travellers tag their own bag. At the end, we spent the equal amount of time at the counter. And we had problem with Emma's hot water, we never had so much problem. This was the first.
On other news, by the time we board, it was midnight and she was in zzz mode.

Again an uneventful plane ride which we're glad.

Till our next trip! September Perth!

Day 9 - Oxford

*Phew* The last few of our England trip! Oxford! We actually don't have much in mind to cover, we did cover a few of the villages which I didn't name such as Morton on Marsh, Chipping Norton etc, they were quite small and actually very smiliar. Its unlike French villages were each one are quite unique, but English villages are really really similar. So on the last day, we decided to stop visiting villages, and give Oxford a go! Its to visit one of Harry Porter inspired colleges.

If I didn't remember wrongly, there are 23? Or is it 40+? colleges in Oxford University. One of them inspired the Harry Porter movie location - Christchurch college.

Ok, it was a really small college. The rest of the noon was spent shopping!! And we didn't had much to do in the noon, we've decided to revisit Bourton on the Water again!! To feed the ducks!

Our last dinner at our favourite chinese restaurant.
Next up! Last entry for England 2015!

Day 8 - Stow and Bourton on the Water

We went back to the usual cafe for breakfast.

Today's plan was to explore the villages! We started with our own, Stow.

Next up, Bourton on the Water. This is our favourite village! We returned the next day.

We really liked this place so much, we spent the rest of our day here. Just sitting around, shopping around the little shops, sipping tea and eating cakes. Feeding ducks. Watching ducks eat, fight, swim. The only down side of this place is, we're having our holidays, seems like the rest of the other people here are also on holidays. It was jam packed on a normal weekday! But other than that, we really enjoyed this little town very much!
