Crafty Sunday~

Today was term break for Ems class, hence we were up and out early (that wasn't the reason, Ems just happen to wake up super early as usual). We ran a lot of errands by 10am, most of which we realise that neighbourhood shops don't really open that early. Why??!!??

So we ended up at Macs at 9.30am, having a round 2 breakfast break while waiting for Guardian, Watsons and Diaso to open. (That was after we went Fernvale Point and her milk powder supplier wasn't open. And after we went Rivervale Mall to finish some more errands.)

'Wassup Daddy'

'Ok. I give you massage la.'

As i wasn't quite sure of my new found arty interest yet. Diaso is a good cheap start. The pushcart at diaso for kids seat is just weirdly position. Emma is constantly staring at hubs *ahem*.

Anyway, i got a container to get my craft stuff organised, some pattern cutters, washi tape, coloured papers etc.

And back home, i decorated the frame further!! I laced the frame.

Quite satisified with myself. I did other mini staff which are too ugly to be shared here. Lol.

Last week, in class, Ems had a lot of fun with coloured cellophene paper. So I did a ugly but usable one.

Hope she can have the same fun with it later after her nap!

Scrapbooker in the making!

Today, got some time off (from Emma and hubs) and went for scrapbooking class! Its not something I expected, those you see off the shops where you buy pretty stickers and stick. We literally started off from cardboard, choose our colours and painted them. The last time I painted was in Sec 4 and I remember hating it. This time round, I find it super fun and theraputic!

Painting the fence and stamping it.

This is the end product! Nothing fanciful, but I kinda like it.

So I went PS and got a starter (lazy) kit! They actually have those ready made packs, for people like me who are unsure of whether to invest more $ into this. They have about 5 background sheets, many kinds of decors, you can make 5 different designs mix and match. So in 30 mins (my class this morning took 2.5hrs!) I spice up our frames!

The words and butterflies are pop up, the flowers and buttons are 'real'. Can't wait to start on my other frames!!

Yeah to Holidays!

Since we don't celebrate Easter, its happy holidays for us! Went Bishan Park and tried Canopy.

No good. Food wasn't worth the price, not nice, and service was not good either. We will not be back. The end.

Afterwhich we went Vivo to one of my favourite household place, Franc Franc. We definately gona get our furniture here when we decide to get rid of the old set.

At the furry rug section

*touch touch*

Did I say how much I love this dress! Its from The Children's Palace.

She loved the wheels, and didn't wana get off..

Blurry family shot!

We're going swimming again tomorrow! Hope it doesn't rain.

Current reads - Cyprus

I never knew its existence until now.

Its banks are still closed. Wonder to what extend the bank run will be when it open its doors tomorrow. If it opens.

The daily limits of withdrawal from atms is SGD$162.

They are having a 'haircut' on deposits. (Lesson learnt: Never put all money in one bank!!)

The 2nd biggest bank in Cyprus is shutting down.

What it is today is a domino effect from their investments in Greek bonds and Greece where it is today.

Wil Euro let it go down, and continue this domino effect?

Daily reads from Straits Times.

Where it all begins

Just now as we were walking back home, I was telling Emma, next week we'll be heading to Perth. And hubs added, 'where it all begins..'.

Indeed, 10 years ago, who knew this would happen. 10 years ago, around this time (school normally starts at end Feb), we would have first met (we duno when we met exactly). 10 years ago, he didn't gave a really good first impression.

10 years later

Cutesy patting her reindeer to sleep, just like how we pat her

Reindeer has become part of our family playtime.

Since we introduced him to Emma, she's taken a serious liking for him.

Restaurant Week Part 2

Alkaff Mansion

Our reservation was at 6pm, but as usual, we were early, reached there at 5:50pm.

But they were really late in opening the restaurant

Showing her the garden fountain

And busy getting some mosquito bites

Finally got seated. Ems gets her dinner first.

Appetizer. Potatoe with some duck thingy. Superbbbbbb.

Mains. Cod fish for me. Normal.

Beef for the hubs. DOPEDD. IT WAS AMAZING!! And we've decided. We're returning here for the next restaurant week!

It was Emma's first fine dining. I think she totally love it.

She was in such a happy mood, hence an enjoyable dinner for our little family of threes. When I mean happy, she wasn't just sitting at her high chair and being all good. She was in smiles and laughs at the smallest thing! And she had 2 of their hot brown buns!

Dessert was some cheese thingy, which was AMAZINGGGGG!!! We are soo coming back!!

Other random. Hubs phone got temporary mended!

Sunday morning yawns

And so, today we had a record breaking wake up time for Emma - 8am! And I was the one who woke her up, cause I didn't want to eat into her morning nap time. With a later wake up time, we were late for our usual Sunday breakfast at the prata place in Jalan Kayu, so we couldn't get our usual table. And reaching there at 8.30 was quite late for a weekend morning, and the crowd starts to form.

But surprise surprise, even without our usual table, the resident kitty decided to plonk behind us!! So Ems had half her time looking at the kitty!

Restaurant Week

And so, its Restaurant Week!! We love restaurant week!! This time, we've decided to bring Emmy along, unlike previous time we wanted to leave her with my mum and end up chickening out last minute cause we couldn't bear not seeing her for a night. So today was Roadhouse at Dempsey!

They did left us a very good first impression. Its the first place we've ever dine that provides toys for children!! SCORE! Big time!

Ems was entertained at least for a while. And any restaurant that have such a thought for kids, definately guarantee a return visit from the parents!

She busy playing while I prepare her lunch cereal.

Because it was Restaurant Week, the meal was super worth it. Its $25 for 3 course meal. We had a set each. Appetiser was some soup that I can't remember, and crabcake (which hubs lovesss).

Mains was chicken pot pie and wagyu beef burger.

And dessert was super delicious banana filling something tart, and another lemonish cake.

Food was superb overall and will definately be back for next Restaurant Week!

Other random things. We were mall hopping today, and got Ems to try a hairband which I think she look adorable in, but she didn't quite like it.

I drop by a sale, and got a pair of staple black Ferragamos heels. My first Ferragamo heels. My first Ferragamo for 2013. Nothing fancy. Ferragamos (particularly those on sale) are my weak spot. I can never have too many Ferragamos. I mostly only like the classic ones with bows.

Hubs phone screen got smashed again. Its his fault.

Tomorrow we're going Alkaff Mansion for Part 2 of Restaurant Week!

Customised stuff

I've got lots to be happy about today! This morning I've received a msg that my cake topper is ready! The seller sent me a photo end product and asked whether I want to add anything. It looks pretty good! And of cause I was super happy about it!

I did send her a photo of Emma, and customise this, except she has to have pigtails, cause bald toppers don't go very well with cakes. In case its not clear, its a picture of Emma in her pink bikini at the seaside.

See the similarity? Both are same pink flora bikini!

And I custom made hersheys chocolates

And some lollies!!

Next gota go ikea and get a transparent bowl. Ah!! Happies!
