Life's good

While waiting for hubs to return from his zombie run, we made a park trip! Just downstairs.

It was a puny miserable pathetic park. But she had so much fun!!!

Life's good like this isn't it?

Happy 10th year anniversary~

Hubs should be running his 5clicks now. He was all excited when he left, hopefully he's still as excited when he's back. I signed him up for this, cause he seems to be into such zombies stuff, and I think 5km wouldn't kill him. Except that I think its quite ex.

2 days ago, was our 10 yr pak tor anniversary!!!! And... *drumroll*
.
.
.
.
We forgot about it till yesterday.

I thought there ought to be a celebration. 10yrs is a long way I think. If we had a shotgun, Emma would have been 10 yrs old! Anyway, hope we'll remember it next year.

This morning we had a chance to run some errands at ikea.

Finally I've decided to make more space at my closet (thats why the ikea trip). I'm boxing away some of my winter clothing! And while boxing, I realise there are some which I've forgotten its existance. Half of which I hasn't worn before. *gulp* good thing most of which didn't come out of our pocket.

Took polaroid and stick them outside the box.

Up they go! They now occupy the loft unit.

Other random muslings.

Last week, Emma was sick and we visited the doctor thrice. So much so that, I think it was appropriate for me to bring the doctor set out for her!!

And she did recognise the most important thing!

Listening to her own heartbeat.

How cutesy is my baby??!!??

Needy Teddy~

So, I'm not done with last weekend yet!

Random shoots at our weekly prata place. And I mean every.single.week without fail. Hari Raya today included.

*eeks. Go away mummy.'

We met up with our uni friends at Eat.Play.Love cafe. I love meeting up with our uni friends. They are mine and hubs common friends, people whom I spent the happiest period of my entire life (my 3 years uni life is the happiest period of my life!!) So I love meeting up with them!!

Emma HAD to bring along teddy every where that day. EVERYWHERE. Some lucky days, it will just be a straw or recycled yakult bottle. Other days, it will be teddy. Or other forbidden items that we refuse to let her bring out, and she'll cry the door down before we can even step out.

Yup, evidently not in good mood, and needy for teddy.

Happy holidays~

Park Sunday

Last Sunday, we had some time to spend at the park, Bishan park to be exact. Did I mention I was super duper happy last weekend? Apart from the fact that I had some real retail therepy without a toddler stressing me, and was punish later on with severe mummy guilt (enough to make me decide that I promise not to do it again over at least the next few months.) Also, that we get to spend time with Emma again!! We love being around her, more than how she wants to be around us!! Everyday I aim to reach home asap after work, if I were to leave on the dot, 6:30pm would be the earliest, thats super good enough for me! And the happiest thing is, most of the time we'll be able to hug at at 7pm!!

Too much happy digressing, back to Bishan Park!

I would love to think that she had loads of fun that morning too!! So much space for her to run!! Only one parent will know how much space a toddler really need. They've got small bodies, short legs, feed little, BUT HAS SOOO MUCH HUMONGOUS BOTTOMS UP FULL FILLED of energy. (That was rubbish english trying to express the amount of energy)

Our energizer rabbit.

And we proceeded to Grub for breakfast!

My energy bar.

Having a quiet stoney moment to herself.

Thats how lazy she can get. Not lifting a finger.

Love the fact that tomorrow's a public holiday!!

Movie date night

Wonderful! I realise I can post using hubs iphone, which has much better blogger app!

So yesterday was date night, cause hubs saw this trailer months ago, and thought I will like it. I did like it from the trailer, I'm a sucker for time travel shows, particularly love shows. All time favourite is The Time Traveller's Wife, I can watch it over and over a zillion times, and About Time has the same female lead!
And so, it wasn't quite what I expected, I guess their focus was more on family, particularly daddy-son relationship, which was nice. But I would very much prefer a all lovey dovey content.

Parents' guilt came the next morning, when my mum told us Emma didn't slepy well. She woke up every other hour, and probably drank half a can of milk powder that night cause she couldn't quite sleep. Just one month ago, she was perfectly fine staying overnight there. Hais, I guess we wouldn't be doing this so often. But at least we got our Gyu Gaku craving fixed!!
I can't remember the last time we had dinner at 9:30pm. But I survived!! Haha. *slurp*

Diaper Management

I've been a diaper changer for the past almost 18 months. Ever since I started this business, its been on my mind, every diaper change is money thrown away. Literally. Though not much, but it still counts. Some irritating people will go, 'not that you can't afford it'. I hate it when people uses this phrase, but lets not digress. I can do an entire seperate post on that.

I used to buy diapers based on costs per piece, until there was this trunki promotion, and I ended up buying 5 boxes which equates to 16 packets I think. The concept of costs per piece went out of my mind. I wanted to get the free trunki which costs $90.

I always get the DAMNIT feeling when its due for a must-change session (e.g. Before bed, bathing) and the diaper feels super light and very new. To me, thats bad diaper management. Diaper changes (i feel) can be planned better, of cause if the baby does a-poo-in-the-diaper, it disrupts the entire plan. Its annoying.

Every morning, we don't do diaper change before we leave the house. We'll just sweep Emma off to my mum's, cause she'll be doing her morning bath, no point changing at home. But yesterday, she had a bit too much to drink the night before, the diaper was too full, and it leaked all over her clothes just before we're about to leave the house! This has never happened before.

Shes in a milk-monster phase now, not sure whether its the growth spurt, the molar tooth teething or watever so. She.drinks.a.lot. Usually, before all these happens, before bed, she drinks about 150ml and that can last her till the next morning till she walks. Yesterday, she did an epic 360 ml before she can finally sleep, waking up in the middle of the night for another 180ml. She was hungry, cause she was just drinking furiously with her fastest speed and right after, dozes off to lala land.

So back to my story, we were trying to prevent yesterdays episode from happening, its a mess when you got urine all over. Midnight, we did a change, and the diaper was so light!!!! No idea where the milk had gone. But it was a definite diaper mismanagement, cause hubs had tooked it out so we had to dump it. I was definitely annoyed. Its a waste of good diaper.

By the way, this is how a trunki looks like.

And we're halfway through our diapers in the storeroom already!

Lantern + New Sofa

*catching up on blog posts that has been phenomally backlogged.

Mid Autumn. We got off work and celebrated it with Ems! Not exactly celebrate, just that my moms wanted to go, so we went along and Ems can carry her lantern around.

Something not pictured. My smart ass husband decides to hand Emma a real fire candle lited lantern. And my cutesy daughter wanted to show me, so she flung it right to my face. It just almost didn't catch fire right in my face.

Part of our post reno, we wanted to change our sofa set. The previous one was actually humongous. Its nice, comfy, big and all. But just humongous that we had difficulty reaching over to open the window.

So we changed to a smaller set!!

Its comfy, nice and just the perfect size for our family of 3! Lazy boy version! Hubs favourite.

Just that its now being invaded by non-humans. (Excluding Emma)

Addicted. Online.

*phew* its a long while since I last blogged. The thing I really really miss about iphone is its blogging app, android has really unfriendly blogging app, that I only blog when I'm at home using ipad, which means I've stopped totally blogging on the go. For now, it also means I can only blog when Emma's asleep.

So what I've been addicted recently. Online shopping!! Physical shopping with Emma is stressful. Its really difficult to look at things when you're busy making sure she doesn't empty all the shelves, sweeping every single thing on the ground. She's like a tornado, clearing her path when we're in shops. So shopping has now become quick stops, squeezed in whenever we can.

Online shopping is less stressful. And finally last weekend, I figured out how to do free shipping on Amazon!! So happiess!!! My favourite wooden toys for the kitchen.

Fishing magnetic set

String set, where she suppose to string all the items together.

Ah, best. Stride rite, US price, nothing more. The choices are much lesser though. But this will do for now.

Sandals for everyday wear.

Last Sunday, we were out shopping and I was trying out Kate Spade shades. This pair caught my eye!!

It was not too ex, $210, but i didn't buy. Then I came back and tried my luck. AMAZON HAS ITT!!! USD$90!! Got it without second thoughts!! I've been looking for a pair to replace my Coach which got smashed.

Then yesterday, my loots from Old Navy came over the mail!! Winter wear for December Hong Kong trip, and maybe Paris?

This is my favourite!!

I've been doing Taobao too. Haha. Covering all grounds.
