The Bank Bistro and Bar

Weekend just fly isn't it! Its already 1 hour away from Sunday noon. :(

Yesterday we made an attempt to visit the Jurong Bird Park, albeit a failed attempt, we had *some* fun. Sad to say, we left the park after 30 mins. Emma show no interest at all, she looks really bored, at times, she looks asif shes falling asleep. Hence we decided to leave the park after parrots, flamoingos and a weird ugly looking huge bird, and not returning anytime soon. Luckily it was free.


We left for brunch at The Bank Bistro. Fatabulous!


The food portions were huge! Every adult meal comes with a free kids meal, and their kids meal comes in a super generous portion! The spaggatti at the bottom. Emma had 1/10 of it for her lunch.


They had a playroom with toys and a tv playing barney. Perfecto! The best part was we had the room all to ourselves. Love it!


They had things to keep kids occupied. Emma did colour on it for maybe 3 minutes.


The she decides there are other fun.


And it includes destroying it.


We had a great time here! Actually we spent more time here than at the bird park.

15 months

Something big that we've acheived over the weekend, the diaper bag has gone on major diet! She doesn't need so much diaper change, so depending on the timing of trip, 1-2 diapers will suffice. And sometimes we can do without milk powder, she now only takes before she naps during the day. So at times, I can even do without the diaper bag! I just need one diaper, wet wipes, dry tissue and her water bottle! THATS IT! Everything will fit nicely into most of my handbags!

We also gone to the PD for her 15 mth (and 1 day) jab. She took it without a single squeal *beams-proud-mummy-moment*. She now weighs 10.2kg and standing 80cm tall. If shes gona be same height as me 1.6m, shes already halfway there!! (Within a short span of 15mths, and it will take her erm 11 yrs to grow the other 80cm.)


Yesterday we also went to get a proper pair of (expensive) shoes. This is not the first pair of stride rite, but the rest were gotten from the warehse sale, so they were all 1/3 the original price. Yesterday we popped into the original shop. I was kinda preparing that she might be flat footed like hubs, so shoes are important for growing feet. Who cares how hubs grew up with cheapo shoes and he survived. So after measuring, one side of her foot is bigger than the other. She has chubby and wide feet, which means the normal shoes are too small and uncomfortable for her, cause the sides are not wide enough. So she has to get the wide version. After leeching enough from the sales girl (taking down mental notes to prepare myself for next warehouse sale and when I go NY to stock up), we walked out with this


At original price *gulp* after one hour.

She didnt drink this at all. It was funny how after 5 seconds she put down the cup quickly and stared at the drink with the why-are-you-so-cold look. And didn't want to touch it anymore

Different different but same same

I'm collating Emma's photo album, for her one year old onwards. I went back to flip at the old albums, and she look weirdly different.

Fresh from the oven, her nose looks a little big for her already big face.

Her face is definitely kinda big, her cheeks looks cutely exploding full, making her eyes looks asif they barely can open. 

 She really can barely open her eyes here. I was so afraid that will be the maximum size of her eyes.

 She looks so different now! I can almost imagine how she'll look like as a teenager. *gulp*

Splendid Sunday~

She's sleeping now, so 2 continuous post! I've been very productive while shes asleep today, backed up my camera photos, not only to the computer, but burnt to cds. Although the most reliable backup will be blurb albums, cause cds do corrupt too, but that takes time.. Lol. Losing a phone is not so bad, cause you can get a new phone. But losing precious photos and videos in a phone, I think its enough for me to cry. Cause I can't really ungrow Emma to retake the photos.

All ready for breakfast!! Actually nothing to be ready about. Cause shes in her pyjamas, we only changed her diapers. Lol. And yes, all decked in pink.


Recently shes grown a habit to sit with both her arms folded behind her head. No idea where she get that from, but we find it utterly cutesy!


And because hubs said the above picture was too frowny, so I did a posey one. Emma: What are you guys doing! Mummy's not reading at all!


Outfit Of The Night: Gap onesies; Carters shorts; Stride Rite shoes (for ultimate comfy!)


We let her walk, and each time we direct her to the lift, she just changes course and heads for the playground.


So, we did let her.

PaPaSar BeLla

So yesterday trip to Pasar Bella wasn't that bad afterall! Our greatest find, chinese board books!! Honestly this is the first time I've seen chinese board books!!


So I got 2 of them!


And also 2 english books.





And we did end our day in Jurong, had one of our favourite restaurant Saboten!! They serve the yummilicious sauce with free flow grass!


And of cause, objective met. Sort off. New pair of shoes.


I was kinda hoping to get 2-3 pairs, but it being an outlet, i guess the popular sizes are all out. We can wait.. Till our next NY trip to stock up.

Also, theres something wrong with the car, hope it will stay up for another day. It sounds like its gona break down ANYTIME!!

How much do we really love the weekends?

So its one of the Saturdays where I need to touch up on my hair.


Which is great actually, cause I get to blog, and catch up on magazines. I can never do that with Ems around. Of cause hubs gets some one-on-one bonding time with his girl too.

Friday


Its been a while since we hang outside for some cake after work. So we did. And Ems had a treat to rubbish food, for which she must be very happy about I guess. Since she keep returning for more.


She had the non coffee part of a tiramisu and mango squashy icy drink.





Saturday morning

We headed to Pasar Bella. Have been wanting to visit here for sometime, but was somehow disappointed.


We had a mushroom steak pie





a cheese sausage which was the best out of all we ordered. but we were in a rush to eat than to get a pic.

Pasar Bella in my opinion was really just alright. I doubt we'll return anytime soon.


Ems was being a great sport, it was way into her nap and she was nearly dozing off before that. But once we got ourselves a table, she was all perky to go again!


Of cause, when we got into the car, she was reminded that actually she was very tired. Lol


Hubs and I was having a conversation on dinner options since we are not having it at his place. I suggested IMM, cause I wanted to head to Stride Rite outlet to get Emma some shoes. Shes surviving on one pair now. And hubs was like, 'huh Jurong?!?' The conversation ended.

I left for my hair appointment. 30 mins into my hair-doing, I got a message informing me that, this is whats left of her shoes.


The other side was missing. It must have dropped out when I was getting out of the car. Oh wellz, Jurong it shall be!!
