Monday failed attempt reason - forgot to bring gym bag

Tuesday failed attempt reason - it was raining (even though the gym is in a covered, sheltered not leaking condition)

Dreadful monday

Yesterday was busy running errands and dint manage to finish combing town. Was back today at Liat's Zara and got 3 kids top at $9.90 sale section!! The goods about Emma at this age, shes so young, so whatevers on sale they will have enough sizing for me to grab at least a piece. Most of the time it'll be too big, but thats fine with me, she'll grow into it pretty soon.

I dread tomorrow. I dread next week. The whole of next week. *sobs*

Sundays

One of the best during weekends are sunday breakfast. We dont usually go far, either Jalan Kayu roti prata, kopitiam near our place or recently we're into Greenwich! Today we went Greenwich and intially wanted to est Toastbox, but nothing I feel like eating, so we end up at Cedele. The good bout it is, theres not much customers and we can take our time, with air con and clean evironment. Hence, we end up reaching home at 10am, usually we reach back at 9am and have plentyof time to put Ems down for her nap. At 10am, shes a bit grouchy and all, cause its gona past her naptime already, making it more difficult to put her down for nap.

Tiring Saturday

The weekend just start off perfectly with us dining out on rare weekday. We had dinner at bakerzin at Greenwich.


Saturdays are the busiest. We started off early to pick up a post at post office. The went to Ion for a quick update at zara and h&m. I kinda like h&m kids, they sometimes have quite good deals, so 'll try to pop by every other week. Emma getting restless while I shop. (With one sock missing)


Then we had to drop by Paragon to pick up her organic cereal, and she decided she was in a stunt performance mood.





She ended in this position, and refuse to sit back the right way.


Then i had to go for my facial, before which we picked somethings up at Simei. After facial, Ems did an epic poo, so we had a mid-day attire change. We went expo pumpkin patch sale. Trying on baby shades which reminded me of three blind mice.


Had dinner at Chat Masala which was yummiliciouss!!!











So nice, that we had 2 rounds of garlic nan!

Hubs and Ems are both asleep. Im gg to KO too. Nites..

Important skill as a child

Ems just learnt one of a very important skill as a child.

Mummy says: Wake daddy up please

She will crawl/roll over to the sleeping hubs, and starts hitting his face. Hubs continues to sleep. Ems turn and look at me.

Mummy repeats: Please wake daddy up.

She turns back to hubs, and start pulling his ears, sticking her fingers into his ears, sticking her fingers into his eyes.

Hubs is up. Success.

Irritated

Some people just need to have the last say don't they? No matter what anyone else said, they have to say something to show/prove that what you said isn't true, or there are some (i find) ridiculous reason behind it. At least I have a choice to walk away from them.

Merry Sunday

Yesterday we finally tried Baker and Cook accidentally, cause Chat Masala 2 closed down! Anyways, I can't post bout yesterday, cause by the time dinner, we weren't quite in the taking picture mood.

Lets post bout today!! Recenlty found out that Greenwich isn't as crowded as what we think!!! So we definately gona head there more often. This morning we went Cedele, not too bad food for a fraction of the price as compared to P.S. Cafe with WAYYYY more peace, and no queues!!


Just to digress, surprisingly Baker and Cook was very cheap as well!! Our dinner, 2 mains with a drink costs only $24!!

Back to this morning, we're happy that Ems happy, cause another plus point that we love here is, we can push her chair ALL the way in her chest level, that she can't climb up and stand on her chair!! How greattttt!!!





She had scrambled eggs from our plates and some (quite sour) juice.

Birthday preparation

We really should get started on ems first birthday celebration.

Things settled:
- Venue at Brewerks
- Time at 3pm
- Invites done

Wow. Thats it. Hahhaa

Things in the process and yet to make a decision:
- Cake from Pine Gardens
- Cake topper

Things that is still in the thinking process:
To decorate the place or not? Part of me don't want to spent too much monies on decoration, cause I think its kinda waste of money. But as I look through some parties supplies sites, I got tempted. And toying with the idea of getting some balloons to doll up the place.

Get a Happy Birthday banner or not? Party bags for the kids or not? Do we need a theme? (Secretly I would love a lady bug theme) Table cloth or not?

It sounds like fulfilling my own birthday party that I didn't have in 29 years!!!

Hashtag or not? (Cause I bet only 3 people will be posting. Me, my bro and his gf maybe.) This is the only thing thats free, so Im not sure why the hesitation.

By the way, today ems is officially 9mths, 3 weeks and 3 days old!!! Shes out of me the same time as she is IN me!!! I delivered her at 39 weeks and 3 days! 4 days earlier than her EDD!

万事如意 Day 3~

Happy times really fliessss,utterly sad that I'm returning to work tomorrow. This festival that I've been waiting for is over just like THAT. We started the day having a uni gathering which was kinda fun seeing all the kids come around, maybe its been always fun for them, but first time I think its REALLY fun. Haha.

Intially wanted to go town for some shopping update, but last minute went to toysrus sale which was alright, the discount wasn't as deep as the ones we used to go, so we din't really get much stuff.


And the day ended at 5pm! Ems was so tired, she slept before 8pm. Peace.

恭喜恭喜 Day 2~

Second day was great! I love the crowd especially when I've got the most IN 'thing' tugging along with me! Emma of cause! Shes like the cutest baby of all the babies/kiddos (please accept the fact that we are very self delusional parents), and we have both conclude that Emma's the cutest of them all.

She left the house with all cuteness in the cny outfit, but this is very much the last of it.


I got this online, so the sizing wasn't quite right, it was way too big. And she was crawling so fast and furious, her knee caps keep tugging on the dress, and within an hour, there was a big hole.


So we had to do a change of outfit. Which wasn't so new-year-ish. But oh wells. It ended quite late at about 5pm, we headed home so ems can have a good nap. And we went to Chillax@Serangoon Gardens. (That place is call Chillax)


We like to try out new eateries, some where you will return for more. Like how we love places like P.S. cafe, super child friendly which made Emma's screams sounds like volume 1, and super spacious for strollers. And of cause great food. But this one, is one where we can be sure not to return. Expensive with not very nice food.

There was noting much we can feed her from our plates, so she resort to her new attained skill. Climbing out of her high chair.


Her new favourite activity.


And giving her snacks is the best way to keep her seated. Still trying to teach her to pick up her own snack and put it to her mouth. Its weird how she can pick up strands of hair on the floor, but still refuse to use her pincer fingers skill to pick her snacks.


And here we end day 2 with Ems just did the sweetest thing. Hubs just put her down between us for bedtime, she was sleeping facing hubs. Then she turned just her head and look behind her and saw me, the next thing, she turned her whole body to face me, and closed her eyes. *heart melt moment*

Greatful~

Daddy-dottie time

Greatful for having Ems to celebrate this Cny with us.

Greatful for Ems being in her best behaviour even though she stayed way past her bed/nap time the past few days.

Greatful for all the angbaos we've collected.

Greatful that hubs is carry Ems for her nap while i play with my phone.

Not getting into the technicalities of what greatful exactly mean.

Finally we are down to decorating Ems room. Now we are quite happy with her bed and foresee she'll be using it for the next couple of years at least, we can start putting up the things that we've bought and stuck in the storeroom gathering dust!

Bought a wall decal to add some babiness in her room!


Recently I've got this morbid thinking, that if I were to die in the next couple of years where she will not have much memory of me, when she grows up and read my blog in future, how would she feel?

Happy New Year Eve!

But honestly she still duno how to play with such stuff, hence she was bored with it pretty soon.


The more grown up kids enjoys it better, and Ems gladly be the passenger.


And towards the end we were just waiting, the rest were watching Skyfall and we just got generally quite bored
